• July 8, 2023: The Hoops went 2-3 at the Peach Jam and 1-0 at Augusta Live. They lost to NY Rens 62-73 (box score), defeated AZ unity 75-59 (box score), lost to Brad Beal Elite 52-55 (box score) and MoKan Elite 48-59 (box score), and finished with a win v Team Melo 75-52 (box score). At Augusta Live they defeated NH Lightning 68-58.
• May 29, 2023: The team went 4-1 at EYBL Session 4 in Memphis. They defeated The Skill Factory 76-73 (box score), Expressions 82-66 (box score), Team Melo 80-47 (box score), and Indy Heat 69-64 (box score), and lost to Team Durant 59-64 (box score)
• May 14, 2023: The 17U team finished EYBL Session 3 in Dallas with a 1-3 record, bringing their overall league record to 5-7. They lost to PG Elite 50-73 (box score), Team Final 46-61 (box score), and Boo Williams 72-76 (box score). Their one win came against the Georgia Stars 78-69 (box score). Next session is in Memphis May 26-29.
• May 7, 2023: Congrats to Drayton Jones (6'10, Oak Hill Academy) on his commitment to play for South Carolina State today!
• April 30, 2023: The team went 2-2 at Session 2 of the Nike EYBL in Phoenix this weekend. They lost 73-74 (OT) to the Oakland Soldiers (box score), and went on to defeat The Family 65-59 (box score) and New Heights Lightning 75-66 (box score) before losing in OT 81-90 to PSA Cardinals (box score). Overall EYBL record is now 4-4. Next session is in Dallas May 12-14.
• April 24, 2023: At Nike EYBL Session 1 in Atlanta, the team went 2-2: Won vs Nightrydas 70-58 (box score), lost to LivOn 70-84 (box score), won v AZ Unity 72-59 (box score), and lost to Drive Nation 62-70 (box score). Players who made the session leader board: Justin Begg (5.8 APG), Tre Johnson (4.8 APG), and Trent Burns (2.0 BPG).
• April 10, 2023: The 17U team went 2-0 at The Circuit's Duel in DFW this weekend. They defeated Texas Impact 4:13 USAA (78-66) and Austin Unbreakable UA Rise (83-48).
• March 27, 2023: The team went 2-0 at the Battle of the Brands this weekend, defeating Cooz Elite 17U (52-47) and Fam Elite 17U gold (67-39)
• March 19, 2023: The team went 1-2 at RCS Sports Spring Icebreaker this weekend. The defeated Dallas Showtyme UA Rise (52-20), and lost to LivOn Fleur de Lis (49-54) and Houston Defenders UAA (56-64).

TOBI OYEDEJI

• In May of 2010, the Houston Hoops family lost a friend and teammate - Tobi Oyedeji. Tobi played with the Houston Hoops during the 2008 and 2009 seasons, and was looking forward to starting his college playing career with Texas A&M in the Fall of 2010.  Tobi was a loyal teammate with a beautiful smile and a wonderful personality.  He was always a joy to be around.  He will be missed and his spirit will always remain in our hearts.  Click here for a Houston Hoops tribute to Tobi.
