August 8, 2009: AAU Nationals Wrap-Up – The Houston Hoops placed 14th at the 2009 AAU Nationals.  They went 3-0 in pool play defeating the Cincinnati All-Stars (76-66), Illinois Jayhawks (71-47), and Rhode Island Breakers (70-46).  They moved through the Championship Bracket to the Elite 8 by defeating the Atlanta Knicks (83-73), Indiana Elite Jazz (63-51), and Maryland's Finest (70-55). However, they lost to the Houston Defenders (68-45) and moved into the Quarter-Final Consolation Bracket, where they lost to the Mac Irvin Fire (60-66) and the Peacemakers (45-54).

March 23, 2009: The Houston Hoops competed in the 15U division of RCS Sports' Spring Icebreaker and won all three games - versus the My Up Panthers 15s, All 4 Sports 15s, and Shoot 2 Score 15s.
