• July 2, 2011: The Houston Hoops took 1st place in their pool at the AAU 7th grade D1 Nationals in Memphis, with wins over Huntsville Heat (51-41) and Worldwide-Orange (56-48), and Carolina Heat (46-38). In the championship bracket, they lost to Hoop Dream KY (54-58). They moved to the second round consolation bracket to defeat Team Running Rebels-MA (69-67), before losing to The Family (MI (39-53).
• April 17, 2011: The Houston Hoops 13U took 1st place at the H-Town Classic this weekend. They had wins over HOPS-Coach John, Arkansas Elite, Texas Tar Heels, Impact Basketball (CA), and the Louisiana Bayou Flames.
• April 10, 2011: The Houston Hoops 13U took Second place at the"Houston Hardwood Classic." They had wins over the Defenders, DSG, The Cagers Select and the Gulf Coast Blue Chips before losing to the Defenders Select in the Championship . It was a tough tournament and the boys played well. Despite some key injuries they battled to the Championship.
• March 27, 2011: The Houston Hoops 13U took first place at the"March Madness Tournament" in the 14U Division. They had wins over Game time Tigers, DSG, Texas Storm and RL9. The guys are building character out there on the basketball court. GO HOOPS!!!!
• March 13, 2011: The Houston Hoops 13U took first place at the"Baby Cowtown tournament" in Arlington, TX. They had wins against Team Texas, Team Balance and the Hoop Dawgs. They played the Gulf Coast Blue Chips- Dallas for the championship and beat them by 18 points.Great Job Hoops!!
• March 6, 2011: The Houston Hoops 13U took fourth place at the Gulf Assocation AAU Qualifier. Despite the fact the Hoops had some injuries they played well in most games. The Hoops won their pool but lost in the semifinals of bracket play to the Defenders Select. The Houston Hoops 13U qualifed for Division I Nationals.
  

• February 27, 2011: The Houston Hoops 13U took first place at the “For the Love of the Game” Tournament in the 14U Division. They had wins over the Memorial Magic 8th grade team (62-32); Team Swagger 7th grade team (57-43); Team Swagger 8th grade team (52-36) and they beat Team Swagger 7th grade team in the Championship (44-38).The boys are playing well. They are playing with great chemistry and fire. Congratulations - great tournament Hoops!!!

• February 20, 2011: The Houston Hoops 13U competed in the Hoops Classic 14U Division. The team took second place at the Hoops Classic this weekend. They had wins over the Texas Knights (64-34) Team OKC (62-37) and the Houston Hoops 14U White (50-43). They lost in the Championship to the Galveston Hornets (52-38).Good Job guys. Go Hoops!!!

• February 12, 2011: The start of a new season! The Houston Hoops 13U took 1st place at the "Stars R Born Tournament". They had big wins against Legends Elite and Team Swagger. They faced a tough opponent in the Defenders Select for the Championship and they beat the Defenders (65-60). The guys played very hard and put together a string of good wins today. Congratulations to the 13U Houston Hoops. Go Hoops!
• January 30, 2011: Congratulations to Mongo Cornett for making the top 30 in the John Lucas Camp Right Away. He was selected with 29 other players to participate in the John Lucas Middle School International Combine in May.
• December 29, 2010: Players from the 13U Houston Hoops represented very well at the John Lucas Right Way Camp this week. We are very proud of them!
